WaterLite Solar Pool Heating

How the System is Installed

We measure the surface area of the pool (LxB) and divide by 7.2 and this will give us the number of panels required for your pool.This formula is used assuming the swimming pool average depth is 1.5m.

i.e. 6 x 4 = 24/7.2 = 3.3 so ROUGHLY WE would put 4 Double Density DD panels.

Then we find a roof area that is within 15m of the pool pump and not more than 6m higher than the pump. We check that the area chosen, for the panels, has sun from at least 10am to 3pm.

We make use of the same panel size (3m x 1.2m) but double the heating capacity!

A solar pool heating system will provide your pool with more heat due to the exclusive 140 tube design. This is particularly important in spring and autumn when the sun is not as strong as it is in summer and overnight temperatures can be cool.

The majority of pool solar panels in South Africa have 60-70 small tubes, also known as riser pipes. The centre distance between the pipes are large which reduces the amount of tubes that can be fitted into the header and footer pipes. With our Double Density pool panels, double the amount of tubes are pressed into the header and footer.

The heating effect is more than doubled and the pool panel is more aesthetically pleasing too. You can expect anywhere from 6-12’C water temp increase!
